Crop and rotate an image

Drag a box to crop, then rotate or flip. No upload

How it works

  1. Choose an image or drop it in. It appears with a crop box you can drag and resize.
  2. Drag a corner to resize the box, or drag inside it to move it. Pick an aspect ratio, such as Square (1:1), to lock the shape while you resize.
  3. Rotate or flip if needed, then download. Only the part inside the box is kept.

Straightening a scanned or photographed document

A photo taken sideways or upside down can be fixed with the rotate buttons. Crop away the background around a scanned page, then rotate 90 degrees at a time until the text reads normally.

Your photo stays on your device

Cropping and rotating happen in your browser using the Canvas API. This page's security policy stops it from sending data to any server.

Questions

Can I crop to an exact pixel size, like 600×600?

This tool crops freely or to a ratio. For an exact pixel size, use Resize to exact pixels instead, which also handles what to keep when it crops.

Why is the downloaded image a different size than my original?

The download is exactly the size of the crop box, after any rotation. Rotating 90 or 270 degrees swaps the width and height.
