How it works
- Choose a photo. It appears with a preview watermark you can adjust live.
- Type your text or select Logo / signature image and choose a file. Pick a position: a corner, the center, or Repeated (tiled) to cover the whole photo so it's harder to crop out.
- Adjust size, opacity, angle and color, then download.
Why watermark a photo?
A visible watermark discourages someone from reusing a photo you're sharing publicly, a proof for a client, or a draft document, without asking. A single corner mark is easy to crop out, so for photos you're posting for review or preview, tile the watermark across the whole image instead. If you only need to crop or straighten the photo first, use Crop & rotate before adding the watermark.
Your photo stays on your device
The watermark is drawn with the Canvas API in your own browser. This page's security policy stops it from sending data to any server. Once it's downloaded, you can shrink the file with Compress image before emailing or posting it.
Questions
Can I use my logo instead of text?
Yes. Select Logo / signature image and choose a PNG, JPG or WebP file. Transparent PNG keeps its transparent background. Adjust width, opacity and angle, and place it in a corner, in the center or in a repeated pattern. Large logos are scaled down to fit inside the photo even when rotated.
Why does JPG show a background color option?
JPG can't keep transparency, so any transparent area of the source image (for example a PNG with a cut-out background) is filled with that color before the watermark is drawn.
Does the watermark resize with the photo?
Yes, the size is set as a percentage of the image, so it stays proportional on small and large photos alike.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, extra watermark or limit.
